PROJECT it welcome another new member to the team

June 2010

PROJECT it are pleased to confirm that Floss Clifford has joined their ever-expanding team as Event Administrator/Office Manager.

Floss has previously worked as Practice Manager at a FTSE 250 financial services company, and sights "100% Customer Satisfaction" as the inspiration behind her excellent work ethic. Floss is also completing an Event Management home-study course to further her skills in the industry, and is a keen photographer, SCUBA diver and sky-diver!

PROJECT it are pleased to confirm the addition of Chris Edwards to their Operations Team. Chris joins PROJECT it having previously worked with ITV, and having also organised a number of events for various travel agencies on a freelance basis. Welcome Chris!


Two new recruits!

September 2009

PROJECT it are pleased to confirm the appoint of two new members of their team.

Darren Boston will be joining us as Account Director and will be responsible for generating new business for the company. Darren joins us from the sports hospitality industry, having previously been a valuable client of ours!

Nichola Holland also rejoins us for a second spell after the birth of her baby girl, Isobella. Nichola will work closely alongside Nicola Bradley, acting as Project Managers and ensuring the quality and consistency of our event delivery.


Greater Gabbard Launch Event

August 2009

PROJECT it are proud to have appointed to supply the audio visual equipment and technical support for the launch of the Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm. The farm will consist of 140 wind turbines and two hub platforms to be installed off the eastern seaboard of the United Kingdom. Once in place, the field will be the largest development of its type in the world. 

The launch event will take place at the Heerema Fabrication plat in Hartlepool, in conjunction with Siemens Energy.


PGMOL Annual Conference

July 2009

The Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) Annual Conference took place over the weekend, with PROJECT it providing a full range of audio visual equipment for both the main room and break out sessions.

Attended by over 450 delegates, assessors, referees and assistant referees, the two-day event covered a variety of topics that will have benefitted the audience, who will be in charge of professional matches for the forthcoming season.


New Appointment

July 2009

PROJECT it are pleased to announce the full-time appointment of Rafal Jackowski. Raf joins our Operations Team, having previously held the position of Duty Manager at Leeds Hilton; and having obtained a BSc (Hons) Music and New Media Technology degree at Leeds Metropolitan University. Raf also has previous experience working in the video production industry, and will be a valuable addition to our expanding team.


Leeds Met Fundraiser Dinner

June 2009

PROJECT it were pleased to provide their creative touch to the recent Nepal & Himalayan Fundraising Ball organised by Leeds Met at Leeds United FC.
Originally asked to provided basic AV and technical support, the PROJECT it team recognised the value of the fundraising efforts, and as one of the sponsors of the evening, provided a bespoke Everst-themed stage set complete with pitched tents, props, ice bergs, and dry ice effects.
The ball was held in support of the Expedition and its plans to support the Kathmandu-based community project - the Self Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP). 350 guests joined the team of 22 Leeds Met staff and students on the Expedition team to enjoy an entertainment packed evening; raising over £15,000 for the afore-mentioned charity.

Northern Design Competition 2009

June 2009

PROJECT it were proud to be confirmed as the supplier of AV equipment and event production for the NDC 2009 held at Leeds Met's The Rosebowl. The contract consisted of providing a bespoke stage set for the evening awards ceremony, exhibition panels and units to display short listed works, and technical support for the duration of the event.

Big WOW! Show 2009

PROJECT it are pleased to announce that they will be once again exhibiting at this year's Big WOW! Show at the Royal Armouries, Leeds on 19th March. The Big WOW! Show is the North's only business tourism event, and allows it's visitors to seek new products and developments within the events industry, keep up to date with the latest trends, be inspired and generate new ideas for their next event, and buy and/or place orders. A New Addition to the PROJECT it Team!

January 2009

 We are proud to announce the latest addition to our ever growing team. Baby Max Andrew Woodhead was born on 7th January 2009 at Airedale Hospital, Keighley, weighing 6lb 8oz.

Mum, Jenny and dad, Rob are over the moon with the birth of their son and the rest of the PROJECT it team are too.

The family would like to thank all those who have sent their good wishes and congratulations over the past few days.


Cold as Ice!

December 2008

December saw PROJECT it transform the Carriage Suite at the Majestic Hotel Harrogate into a "Fire & Ice" Christmas Party for a new major client. Working to a specific budget, the PROJECT it team designed the complete concept of the evening, and provided ice sculture table centres, a branded vodka luge, glow-in-the-dark cups, complete room dress, lighting and audio visual equipment, and a party atmosphere that ran into the early hours! Carnegie Scholars Awards Evening

November 2008

One hundred aspiring young athletes from Leeds Met have been awarded prestigious scholarships by the University. The Carnegie Sports Scholarships were presented at a special awards evening at Headingley Carnegie Stadium. PROJECT it were pleased to provide a bespoke stage set and technical production for the prestigious event.

The scholarships were given in recognition of outstanding sporting achievement, with many of the students having competed at national or international level. Special guests for the evening included Neil Back MBE and Andy Key of Leeds Carnegie, Sue Smith of Leeds Carnegie Ladies and England, and Peter Elliott, Regional Manager for Yorkshire at the English Institute of Sport (EIS).

"Snow is Falling"..!!!

November 2008

As a continuation of their strong working relationship, PROJECT were pleased to provide one of Leeds' top venues - Aspire - with a bespoke flash annimation presentation, to be projected onto their windows over the festive period. The presentation consists of falling snowflakes - incorporating the Aspire logo - and was used for the first time at a corporate function on 27th November.  


Sporting champions launch Sports and Wellbeing Centre

October 2008

PROJECT it were pleased to provide the audio visual equipment used for the recent launch of the The Carnegie Centre for Sports Performance and Wellbeing at Leeds Metropolitan University.

Double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes and record breaking mariner Dee Caffari were on hand to launch the new sports performance centre, which brings together world class sports science and coaching personnel at Leeds Met with a world class physiotherapy service at Carnegie Sports Injury Clinic.

For those of you who are keen followers of BBC's "Spooks Code 9", you may be interested to know that PROJECT it provided a number of items that feature on the current series. These included projectors and mirror balls used in a night club scene at the start of the series; as well as the lectern microphones used by the "prime minister" in the episode screened on Sunday 8th September!

PROJECT it are proud to have been involved in a recent stand-share deal with Conference Leeds at the eventUK exhibition held at the Birmingham NEC on 16th and 17th September. The event brought together destinations, venues, event service suppliers and all the trimmings for those involved in meetings, conferences, exhibitions, experiential marketing, product launches, awards & events.

The event was deemed a huge success for both Conference Leeds and PROJECT it, with a large number of enquiries being generated for up and coming events in the West Yorkshire area.

 


Yorkshire Celebrations

August 2008

Having recently been appointed by Yorkshire Post Newspaper as preferred AV supplier for their conferences and events, PROJECT it are proud to be involved with this year's inaugural Yorkshire Day Festival, to be held at Harewood House, Leeds on 1st-4th August. As well as attractions such as food and drink stalls, arts and crafts demonstrations and traditional fairground rides, PROJECT it will provide a specially-constructed theatre in the festival's culture marquee which will be home to a number of the county's most renowned writers, providing readings from their work.


PROJECT it join NHS 60th Celebrations

July 2008

PROJECT it are pleased to announce their appointment as supplier of audio visual equipment to Leeds PCT for their AGM to be held on 3rd July in a marquee in Millennium Square, Leeds. The AGM will run alongside the PCTs "Be Happy, Be Healthy" health fair, which is expected to attract over 1000 visitors and has been organised to help celebrate the NHS's 60th birthday.

The BIG event of the Year!

PROJECT it's "largest" event of the year took place on 2nd May 2008 at East Riddlesden Hall...the marriage of Jennifer Holt and Rob Woodhead! The happy couple jetted off to Costa Rica for their honeymoon on 9th May and are due to return at the end of May. Photographs from the day are available on request!

Having recently obtained A-levels in IT and Music Technology, Tom will play a major role in the technical elements of all large event productions.

Following their recent recruitment drive, PROJECT it are pleased to announce the full-time appointments of Ele Greenwood and Nicola Bradley to the events team.

Starting in January 2008, both Ele and Nicola will play a key role in organising the logistical elements of PROJECT it's event delivery.

Ele and Nicola bring with them a variety of experience; with Ele having been involved in the running of a successful family business, and Nicola recently graduating from Teeside University with a BA(Hons) in Media Production.

 


New Appointment

October 2007

PROJECT it are pleased to announce the full-time appointment of Tom Rhodes to their Production team.
 
Whilst persuing his love of rugby, Tom has been working part-time for PROJECT it for well over a year now; and working along-side Glenn Silcox, the team are responsible for both the design and on-site construction of bespoke and themed stage sets.
 
Recent projects have included the construction of a mock Retail Shop Front at the Hilton Warwick, a Roller Coaster themed stage set at Alton Towers Hotel, and a "Bing Crosby"-style Christmas Lounge for Hallmark Cards.
